Compass-EOS Opens Sales and R&D Center in Moscow

Addressing the growing Russian market and leveraging its history of photonic innovation.

Compass-EOS, the icPhotonics™ networking pioneer, today announced that it is opening a new Research and Development and Commercial Sales center in Russia. This comes at a time when Internet traffic in Russia is expected to continue to dramatically grow and Russian network operators are facing the challenge of efficiently scaling their network capacity to meet demand.

RUSNANO joined as a new investor in Compass-EOS in the recent round of financing announced in November 2013.

The Moscow office will be headed by Mr. Michael Galkin who will assume the role of Compass-EOS Russia Director General. Mr. Galkin has an engineering background in electronics with a 40-year substantial international experience in sales, business development and investments within the technology and energy sectors.
