MK150–02 modular computer based on the Russian Baikal-T processor

The new MK150–02 modular computer based on the Russian Baikal-T processor of Baikal Electronics successfully passed the test at the specialized bench of Kaliningradgazpriboravtomatika, LLC, a subsidiary of Gazprom Avtomatizatsiya. The work was carried out as part of the implementation of measures to develop domestic automation systems. As a result of the pilot operation of the equipment at the Gazprom facilities, the upgraded complex will be brought into mass production.

To support the new MK150–02 computer, works were carried out to adapt the Neman-R common and special software. Tests on a specialized bench confirmed the possibility and prospects of using a modular computer as part of most computing power-demanding systems produced by Kaliningradgazpriboravtomatika, LLC, that is automatic control systems for gas pumping unit, and for electromagnetic suspension.

The Baikal-T processor was developed by Baikal Electronics in 2015. In 2017, the first industrial batch of processors was released. Baikal-T chips are made on the MIPS architecture, contain two computing cores, and meet modern performance and energy requirements for industrial electronics. The technological process is 28 nanometers.
