In 2020, the activity of 179 technology parks from 55 regions of the Russian Federation was analyzed; this is ten more technology parks than last year. The study covered almost 110 thousand employees and the total enterprises revenue being approximate to RUB 300 bln. Used to identify the most effective technology parks in the country, the study results also serve for defining and replicating the best practices in innovative site management and cooperation with residents.

“In 2019, the President of the Russian Federation set the task to normalize technology parks establishment and development regulations, as well as to increase the government support efficiency. For the Russian technology parks development, this is the most significant stage implying not only the legislative framework to be completed, but also a new architecture of industrial and technological infrastructure support to be developed for the period up to 2030,” Andrey Shpilenko, Director of the Russian Association of Clusters and Technology Parks, said. He is confident that, in the context of the strict requirements for the supply chains reliability, the industrial technology parks are becoming significantly important providing an effective infrastructure for the import substitution and localization projects implementation, which enables to increase the cooperation stability between Russian enterprises.
