Sergey Kulikov Joined the Board of Directors of the Skolkovo Foundation
On January 26, the new Board of Directors of the Skolkovo Foundation managed by VEB.RF (Vnesheconombank) and new strategic performance indicators for 2021 as part of the Foundation’s development strategy preparation were approved. Sergey Kulikov, the Chairman of the Executive Board of RUSNANO Management Company, joined the new Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors approved the set of strategic KPIs of the Skolkovo Foundation for 2021. The KPI system aims to maximize investments in projects that affect Russia’s national development goals while maintaining the institute’s financial efficiency.
“Today, we made decisions on the Foundation’s performance indicators and amendments of management bodies, which were provided for by the government’s roadmap for reforming development institutions. The reform aims to synchronize and re-orientate our entire large team’s work to achieve the development goals. The Skolkovo Foundation is an important centre of due diligence in the field of innovation. Its competencies must work to achieve the overall result, including creating comfort in Russian cities. Amendments in the Board of Directors are also subordinated to the logic of the reform of development institutions. It includes leading experts and leaders of the innovation industry in Russia, and I am convinced that the reconfiguration will give a new impetus to the development of the Foundation,” said Igor Shuvalov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Skolkovo Foundation.
“Today, state institutions are faced with the task of restructuring their activities to meet the national goals of the country. As development institutions, we should move in this direction in close cooperation to strengthen each participant’s effectiveness and the entire investment policy of the state. It is essential to offer Russian scientists and high-tech businesses effective investment and infrastructure tools to ensure the transformation of scientific and technological developments into a marketable product, aimed at global markets,” said Sergey Kulikov, Chairman of the Executive Board of RUSNANO Management Company.
The Foundation’s goal is to support technological entrepreneurship in Russia and commercialize the results of research activities. The number of Skolkovo residents has already exceeded 2,700. The Foundation provides them with a range of services required for bringing their developments to the Russian and international markets.
The RUSNANO Group includes the RUSNANO Joint Stock Company, the RUSNANO Management Company and the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs. Thanks to RUSNANO’s investments, there are currently 138 factories and R&D Centers opened in 37 regions in Russia.
