VISITECH Will Help Support Industrial Safety for the URALCHEM Organization
The portfolio Company of Far East High Technology Fund (set up with the participation of RUSNANO, VEB Group) VISITECH and URALCHEM Innovation LLC (a subsidiary of United Chemical Company URALCHEM JSC) signed an agreement to implement a scope of work in the frames of won tender for Digital Challenge innovative ideas held by URALCHEM and the Skolkovo Foundation.
Pursuant to the agreement, VISITECH will ensure industrial safety of the Perm branch of URALCHEM.
As part of the project, VISITECH will supply a positioning system that provides full-scale control over the work and movement of employees. The monitoring system records the beginning and the end of the work process, and VISITECH V-Track trackers make it possible to send a SOS signal to the system operator.
In addition, the company will provide video analytics for the premises and personnel at the enterprise. VISITECH will install video cameras that will be used to analyze the presence of PPE (personal protective equipment) and compliance with industrial safety rules. Cameras will monitor the body temperature of staff and register violations of social distancing and the absence of a respirator. The system will be able to identify potentially dangerous situations and objects, and instantly report about deviations from reference values to the operator.
The work on implementing the project has already begun.
“Safety is one of the core values of every manufacturing company. Tracking personnel using portable devices in conjunction with video analytics will significantly increase transparency and the reliability of information about the personnel work. This will entail both responsiveness in the case of incidents and a culture change regarding occupational health and safety. If the pilot project is successfully implemented, we will consider scaling up the system to other manufacturing sites,” stated Aleksandr Prygunkov, the general director of UCC URALCHEM JSC.
“VISITECH solutions help businesses to adopt an integrated approach towards occupational health and industrial safety issues at the enterprises. The used technologies make it possible to make the process end-to-end, from defining security policies to monitoring their implementation. In the context of the global sustainable development agenda, these technological solutions will actively be used at industrial sites not only in Russia but all over the world,” stated Aleksey Tikhonov, Senior Managing Director for Products of RUSNANO Management Company.
“The Russian industrial safety market is now emerging, and major production companies and holdings are becoming the ‘pioneers’. Piloting VISITECH products at URALCHEM facilities will allow the project team, together with a leading fertilizer manufacturer, to test, finalize and enhance the advantages of the existing solution, that, we believe, can become a standard in the field of occupational safety in Russia,” commented Ruslan Sarkisov, the CEO of the Far East High Technology Fund.
“Today’s challenges require modern solutions—the ‘new normality’ of the COVID-19 pandemic has shown that the digitalization of health and safety was an important step towards an innovative future. VISITECH has dealt with complex projects repeatedly, and this time our team will do everything to ensure the high-quality implementation of the objectives that have been set,” said Rustam Milanov, general director of VISITECH.
The “Anti-pandemic” system from VISITECH is especially in demand to help digitalize occupational health and industrial safety (HS) in the context of the 'new normality' of the COVID-19 pandemic.
